Crescent Mortgage Company was founded on February 16, 1993 as a wholesale lender for community banks in the Southeastern United States. On the first day of business, we faxed a hand written rate sheet to our first approved correspondents. By 10:00 AM the following morning we had received over $25,000,000 in loan locks, and knew at that time the future would be bright.
In 2003 The wholesale mortgage company was acquired by a bank holding company based in Charleston, SC; Carolina Financial Corporation. Carolina Financial Corporation has two member banks. Crescent Bank in Myrtle Beach, SC and Community FirstBank in Charleston, SC. In 2009, Crescent Mortgage moved from being a wholly owned subsidiary of the holding company, to being a wholly owned subsidiary of the bank. The two banks Merged in August, 2011 and became CresCom Bank. Crescent Mortgage Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of CresCom Bank.
Over the past 20 years Crescent has always operated based on a simple and enduring philosophy. We want to be the best SERVICE provider in the mortgage industry.
